ABOUT THE ARTIST

J C COMBRINCK
Jancke-Christoff Combrinck was born in
Jamestown, South Africa. He completed his schooling in Bloemfontein, and has
since resided
in Gauteng. Jancke-Christoff is a
past National Chairman of the Watercolour Society of South Africa, and was
awarded the Civic Gold Medal Award for his contribution to art and culture
in society by the Alberton City Council. He constantly contributes his skills
and talents by acting as judge and selector for numerous art societies, art
institutions and educational bodies. He has presented papers at various symposiums
and workshops, and as art journalist ran art columns for two newspapers and
acted as art critic for two newspapers. Art workshops dealing with art
techniques, history and design are offered at his studio and gallery. He also
presents workshops on creativity and the psychological meaning in
children's art.
Amongst other qualifications, he holds
a Master's degree in Visual Art and Art History, and has lectured in
Fine Art, Art History and Psychology.
